Godin & Roschin's Magneto-Gravitational Converter
Device supposedly derives energy from ambient heat to
generate rotation and electricity with anti-gravity effects as well.
Could reverse effects of global green-house warming.

Possible Open Sourcing Project
Note: "Godin and Roschin" below may refer to just
Godin or just Roschin in some instances.
- Background
- Godin and Roschin claim device outputs 6 - 7 kW free running.
- Machine taps ambient heat; has been shown to drop vicinity temperature
by 8 degrees in virtual rings around the machine.
- Loses weight, or gains weight, depending on which way the rotor is
spinning.
- Technology, invented in 1993, is similar to John Searle's.
- Godin is a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Given to public (no encumbrance)
- Godin and Roschin have a Russian
patent [#2155435, issued on August 27, 2000 (PDF)]
on this technology. (April 1, 2004)
- G & R have been approached by email about possibly giving
permission to open source the replication of that portion of their
technology that is in the public domain. (April 3, 2004)
- Godin and Roschin have openly disclosed a
substantial amount, especially at the Swiss conference, enough to
replicate their technology, according to one source.
Their disclosures are more than one year
old, disallowing them to pursue U.S. patents. Their public
disclosures immediately disallow patents in most other countries, where
a "first to file" rule applies.Hence this much has no encumbrances,
having been made public willfully by Godin and Roschin.
- Open Sourcing
- The machine is basically quite simple, but the
1-meter rotor places the replication of this device out of the realm of
most hobbyists.
- Some have been attempting a scaled-down
replication, based mainly on Searl's work. Scale-down may be
problematic without first characterizing variables at present size.
- No organized open sourcing projects around this
device that we know of.
- Can't expect help from Godin or Roschin
- Godin and Roschin have recently procured major
funding, and those putting up the funds will more than likely wish for
Godin and Roschin to disclose no more, as the they will want to keep as
much of an edge as they can in bringing a working technology to market.
