Don't let the term "Free
Energy" in our domain name throw you. We define it differently than how
it is typically used. To us, "Free Energy" refers to sources of energy
that are inexhaustible. The devices that tap that energy are anything but free.
The quest is to find technologies that do so as cleanly, reliably, efficiently,
and inexpensively as possible. There are a wide number of viable as well as
pending technologies. There is no good reason for our dependence on oil.
Peruse our kudos
page to get a feel for the caliber of material we at PES Network Inc.
produce. To get a peek at where we are headed (in process of merging with OSEN),
view our brief video
presentation.
We offer the following directory pages relevant to municipal solutions. These
are all proven modalities:
- U.S. Green Building Council -
Sets standards for green building for voluntary compliance and
certifications.
- Waste-to-Energy
- Everyone's got it, why not use it.
- Biodiesel
- Convert Diesels to run on veg oil. (Inventor, Rudolf Diesel, originally
designed the engine this way so farmers could grow their own fuel.)
- Conservation
- On how to use less without necessarily compromising quality of life, and
sometimes even improving it.
- Biomass
- Organic waste matter to energy is now the largest alt energy provider in
the U.S.
- Ethanol
- Not without controversy. Some methods take more energy to grow than is
derived from burning the end product. Biomass solutions should focus on
waste organic material that would not otherwise be used. Also anything above
about 10% Ethanol in fuel begins to rip apart the engine. The solvent action
of ethanol has been shown to denigrates the lubricity of the oil.
- Wind
- Has now matched conventional prices, approaching 4 cents per
kilowatt-hour. A private vertical turbine system claims 1 cent per kW-h.
- Solar
- Pushing down the price.
- Power
Factor Correction - Key for industrial energy savings (most
commercial facilities know about this and have it implemented, however,
everyone should have it in place, including municipal facilities)
- Pipe
Pressure Power - Extract energy from excess line pressure.
- River
Energy - Requires about 3-4 knots flow, vicinity to
utilization.
- GeoBioreactors
- Methane from retired oil wells
- SustainableOil
- "Peak Oil" is a political scare tactic to justify gouging oil
prices. Evidence mounting for non organic origin of deep oil, replenishing.
- Engines
- More efficient designs exist.
- Tidal
- Feasibility now being proven.
- Wave
- Feasibility now being proven.
- Nuclear
Remediation - A "heads up" to the fact that there
are means under development of neutralizing radioactive waste
- MORE COMING - Many other technologies in R&D coming down the pike.
(Peruse list of technologies you see in the left-hand margin of this site.)
- Push for "Alternative Energy" courses, certifications and
degrees in your local schools, from elementary schools to universities.
- Hold alt. energy training courses for municipal energy staff.
- Our index page on Global
Warming, covers scientific reports, natural factors, human factors,
consequences.
