Genesis World Energy
WITNESS REQUEST
Regarding Genesis World Energy
See also: GWE Fraud
July 9, 2003
A GWE potential licensee states that GWE plans to give device demonstrations in
approximately one month. Considering the GWE statement "you will not be asked to
travel to GWE facilities to complete the license and evaluation processes more than
once," this will take place after the July 31 deadline for completing license
applications. |
Calling for Witnesses
NO WITNESSES YET

(Seven months after GWE first announced their product)
I know a lot of people in the Free Energy community, and I don't know of anyone who can
personally vouch for having seen the Genesis World Energy device(s) in operation, validated to
their satisfaction. I know of several people who speak of becoming part of the GWE network.
I would like to request that if any of you have either personally tested or witnessed a validation
test, or know someone personally who has, to please contact me. I will honor requests to remain
anonymous.
Without such witnesses, I'm going to be inclined to side with the many people who have contacted
me today saying that GWE makes the Tilley con look mild.
Sincerely,
Sterling

- There can be times when a tight non-disclosure is required -- so long as those who are
investing and otherwise heavily involved are allowed satisfaction of the legitimacy of the

Re:"Do you believe this stuff?"
Not necessarily [...]
Apparently, there's more to chemistry than the conventional stuff we got in high school. There may
be more than one way to break apart the hydroxyl bonds of water, yielding, as some have claimed,
atomic hydrogenm and atomic oxyxgen, instead of the regular molecular stuff. I'm not promoting the
gCell stuff mainly because I have neither witnessed its performance, nor understand the chemistry
of water well enough to make a pro or con decision.
I assume that those buying into the Genesis system have done their homework and, if they are
partners in their project, at least have seen the generator operating and have examined its
innards to see if there's any trickery. That's what a bunch of us intend to do with the Hutchison
energy Cells when we get 'em, *before* we say "aye" or "nay". And then we'd do
proper testing for specs after that, and report back to the inventor, *and* our associates too.
But yes, I've read up on the Genesis stuff, and take it on advisement only. Some of my Internet
associates, though, believe in it, and are proceeding to become investors.

Naturally, I would be utterly thrilled and desiring to expedite things any way possible if I
believed GWE's claims. Few groups other than OPEC members would not want free energy. Every few
months, I send them a message to the effect that I'd like to offer them a chance at my expense to
clearly rise above the vast historical din of kooks and frauds making the exact same claims. I
hear nothing back.
You have to admit that lots of free energy frauds claim to be way past the "proof
stage" (even though they have no credible independent confirmation) and focus people's
attention on dreams of vast mass production. I talked to someone who gave Newman about 70,000$ to
further mass production that Newman said was mostly done. the guy has been strung along for years.
But this claim, "we want to work on mass production" - I think it is to get people to
see dollar signs and to distract attention from the really hard part: getting real free energy.
Just the secretive nature of GWE and the fact that none of us can find even one of the said 400
people raises a lot of serious questions.

Sterling - Why do
you propagate such absurd garbage? How could an organization that has no credible products
produce or sell one million devices a day, with each device requiring "hundreds to
thousands of components". They couldn't even make 1 million toothbrushes per
day.
This scam will make
Tilley look like the Pope!!
Has anyone seen any
working devices or test data??

This just seems too bizarre - They don't show the names of
any of their Group of "world renowned scientists", have not actually demo-ed any
hardware, have no scientific explanation of device operation or even appear to have an
understanding of energy terms and fuel cell operation.
Their website is nice (cute), but lacks any real technical or
product info, just meaningless press releases. Where are their "Beta sites"?
[...]
Nothing makes any sense here. Are they related to
Dennis Lee?
Maybe Randy Mills or others "in the OU Energy field" know of them?
Seems very questionable - Where did they get their
funding? Maybe they have a wealthy "Godfather" or angel backing them.

Re. GWE - This is beginning to sound like Dean Kamen and his
magic scooter "Ginger" (The Segway). He shrouded it with secrecy
while raising $100M from investors by assurring them that he could produce 10,000 units a
month (500 per day). This involved a lot of special manufacturing processes and automated
equipment, etc. costing millions. The only thing they forgot was the Market side, which
has turned out to be less than 300 units SOLD Per Month (about 10 per day)!
(See story in recent Wired magazine)
He spent millions in PR and hype, but at least he had a REAL
product, with proven performance, test data, and users feedback, etc.
Now, along comes GWE with the most outlandish claims in the
history of mankind, talking about making 1 million very complex systems PER DAY, which is over
20 million per month or 250 Million units per year. Assuming that they sell for only
$5,000 each, this would represent a measly $1.25 Trillion annual revenue, not far
from the total US Gross Domestic Product. Not bad for a start-up company.
Obviously these folks are totally insane, or need some business planning assistance, or some
major sales plan help.
[Ironically, the total world fuel cell system sales of units
over 1KW from the 100 + companies in the field (Including Ballard, GM, UTC, GE, Plug Power,
Siemens, Toyota, Honda, etc.) over the last 10 years, is probably less than 5000 units!)
Thus GWE would only have to run their new manufacturing line for less than 1 minute to satisfy
the total 10 year world market!!!
I think that this would be a great case for a 60 minutes
Expose story, as the world's biggest SCAM!!. GWE might want to hire Ken Lay ands
some of the Enron exec's to help with their bookkeeping, and to show how to make something out
of "thin air". This is indeed an amazing story. I can't believe that
people are wasting so much time with this nonsense!

Jim,
People think that because this technology is so revolutionary that
there will be limitless demand for the product.
They forget the less of the solar energy industry.
Solar energy is "free" but the machinery required to
extract the energy into a useful form is far from free. At this point, the initial cost,
combined with the maintenance costs, do not make that form of energy cost effective (if you
don't calculate the long-term cost of depleting the earth's oil reserves).

Sterling - True for Solar, but we are putting up wind
turbines across like crazy at about $.50 per Watt (vs. $6 for solar).
What we need today is to also capture wave and tidal energy
(as well as the methane and methanol hydrides in the ocean, which have a total energy
content greater than 100 times all known oil reserves!)

Mr. Allan,
Do you personally believe any of these GWE claims, or do you intent to act only as a neutral
reporter?
If the former, why? Has *any* OU technology that you've mentioned on your web site ever
come to fruition?
If the latter, you might want to state up front that you are not endorsing these wild
claims. Otherwise you might be viewed as an accomplice in the promotion of what is almost
certainly fraud -- not very Christian of you.

What kind of energy is this GWE using? Are they for
real? When will they be ready and what kind of machines are they, small, large, etc.
I have not been able to find anything about these questions in the article.

Genesis World Energy and its hundreds of consortium-based, corporate manufacturing and
support partners estimate that within the next 12 months they will expend approximately $20
Billion (US) domestically within the United States in the acquisition of facilities and equipment,
in order to meet worldwide demand for the Genesis energy generation technology.
Wow! So they're going to spend more than the entire yearly global R&D spending for the
entire aerospace industry (16 billion). Forgive me if I call B.S. on this one.
Is this whole thing an elaborate joke?

Thank You Sterling! If these people
really have the goods, why, oh why, don't they come out with, at the very least, some reputable
person vouching for the true value and efficiency of their product?
If this occurred, they would be swamped with requests to be a part of their game, and there would
be no need to advertise. I believe they are just another bunch of charlatan, scoundrels!
